What -- The Great
Connecticut Traditional Jazz Festival is the largest festival in
all of the Northeast featuring old time jazz. Great bands
from around the world perform under 4 tents/venues providing
entertainment for your entire family as well as your friends.
Where --
The Sunrise Resort in Moodus - a perfect match for a festival
wanting to promote both great music and a day or weekend event. Sunrise boasts 140 acres, has
a 50' x 100' pool, boating on the Salmon River, a mini resort
for kids, mini golf, many court games plus lots more!
When --
July 25, 26, 27, 2008. There will be a Friends of Jazz /
Sponsors / Jazz Angels / Volunteer party on July 24, 2008 as
well.
Why --
Traditional jazz is the cornerstone of modern American popular
music. Attending and supporting this festival helps to
keep this wonderful musical tradition alive for us to enjoy and
for future generations to cherish.
