Whether
you're a die hard Cajun/Zydeco fan or you're just looking for an
overall good time with lots of fun activities, great music, terrific
vendors, and in a beautiful country setting, this festival is right
for you!
The Great
Connecticut Cajun/Zydeco Music & Arts Festival will be all Cajun/Zydeco
Music. Although you need not be a family to attend, this year's
festival will be especially family friendly to go with Sunrise
Resort's family friendly image.
Besides
the great entertainment, you'll find delicious cajun style food, a
huge pool, boating on the Salmon River, tennis courts, a mini resort
for kids, hot tubs, basketball, sand volleyball, mini golf,
soft ball, bocci, an arcade room, ping pong,
horseshoes, shuffleboard.....
Making an
entire weekend of the festival is definitely the way to go. Sunrise
has 160 sleeping accommodations (motel style rooms, cabins,
cottages), as well as availability for RV and open camping.
More important info: NO
open fires. Hot showers are located poolside and near the camper
areas. No Dogs allowed. Parking is free. Bring your own beer -- cans
only please. Dance a lot. Act respectable. Shipping and handling is
$3.00 per shipping (not per ticket). Have fun. No ticket refunds. We
do this thing rain or shine. Remember your own lawn chair, blanket &
swim suit. Only overnight guests will receive wristbands -- these
must be worn throughout the the weekend. Sunrise has many fresh
water springs -- therefore the tap water is delicious -- it's also
free -- we hope you enjoy it (but for the fancy folk, we'll have the
bottled stuff too).
